"This piece is unique, there are no two alike, and that makes it a special piece for you.

The reason why your piece is unique is because we create each piece one by one, using white textile as a canvas and manipulating it with our artisanal techniques, meaning our products do not go through a mass or industrialized process.

Unisex 100% organic cotton T-shirt dyed with Achiote and Turmeric.

Let us tell you a bit about the properties of Achiote and Turmeric.

Achiote is a tree-like plant that grows in Mexico, Central America, and in the warm Andean regions bordering the Amazon. The same name has been given to its seeds. Also known as: bixa orellana, achiotl, urucú, annatto, bija, bijol, rocú, roncón, and onoto.

The Maya culture observed that these crimson-colored seeds had an extraordinary coloring capacity. A dye capable of dyeing everything reddish: fabrics, the body, food. It was named "achiotl," red dye. For the same reason, nowadays it is sometimes known as "the saffron of the Latinos."

Turmeric is a perennial herbaceous plant that has traditionally been used, in addition to being a spice, as a medicinal plant. What is really used is the root (rhizome) of the turmeric plant."
